Georgina Vroussou Mills (1916-1993) was born in Alexandria to Greek parents. At the end of WW2 she married an English doctor whom she accompanied as they travelled widely, living and working in West Africa, India and Nepal. Whilst in India she studied fine art under Narayan Shridar Bendre.
In 1948 she and her husband settled in London where she enrolled at St. Martin’s School of Art before subsequently moving to Scotland where her teachers at Edinburgh School of Art included James Cumming, Denis Peploe and Robin Philipson. She exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy throughout the 1960s.
